The Launch

We held a party to launch the beginning of the Wornington Word project at the Venture Centre in February 2019. It was a wonderful evening, with a vibrant mix of ages and cultures. Everyone enjoyed listening to Notting Hill Carnival pioneer, Leslie Palmer and Ladbroke Grove's legendary activist Adam Ritchie. The food served by Babajani went down a treat - accompanied by a spot of rum - and beautiful music by The Glissando Steel Band had us up and dancing! As one resident put it, 'We should do this all the time'.”
